It might, maybe in North america anyways. Lich King came out in the fold out box, but seriously who cares about the fold out box? They're designed to captivate the imaginations of potential buyers who have no idea about the game already.
Go ahead and look at any WoW box or your old blizzard games, they read out like stupid adverts for viagra during NFL.
Anyways, 2 weeks later and it'll be in your closet/shelf. I sometimes forget I even have certain DVDS or collectors editions of stuff, etc..

I used to keep all the fold-out boxes, but it just became too much space so I recycled them all. If I can't get to the midnight launch and miss out on the CE then I'll just through the regular edition box into the recycling bag the second I get home.
As for the CE, is it worth it? Probably not. Do I still really, really want it and intend to spend the stupid amount of money on it anyway? Definitely.
