Massive battles happen all the time. The gameplay consists of lots of little units in a massive battlefield. That's what would be shown and thus it would not be a lie.

You are messing with us right? I've followed a lot of your arguing over the years and have taken part in several of those discussions. Your argument is severely lacking substance, and even though I usually don't agree with your logic, you usually have some.

This argument about them showing cinematics and this means they are lying about their gameplay is both ridiculous and doesn't make any sense. The only way the cinematics could be a lie is if the story and the general theme was misleading, or the clips never actually take place in the game.

The only one that seems to be confused on what type of game this is after watching the trailer seems to be you. You seem to be the one with the problem.

This whole argument feels null considering that even soccer moms bother to post on forums to see what their child wants for Christmas. As hard as it is to believe, casuals do research their games. The ones that don't deserve to be disappointed by their lack of initiative.

And then three years of gameplay movies designed to showcase the gameplay for people who are avid SC/RTS players. At this point, everything that can be seen of gameplay has. So they are teasing the story.

There is plenty of gameplay footage out there from the beta and their own battle reports. You're bitching because they wanted to release a story trailer instead of yet another mashup of RTS gameplay? It's not like this is being played on television. It's an internet trailer. If you are looking at a StarCraft 2 trailer on the internet, It's almost guaranteed that you have seen one of the RTS videos.
