Except that the player could just use cheats to power through a mission if not skip it entirely. In that case he'd experience all the cinematics he wants, and since, according to you, that's all he was expecting from a trailer, then happy customer right?

You're neglecting the fact that there's a lot more interaction built into the part with Raynor from the third person perspective that makes this significantly different from a normal RTS. They want to sell the story to people as well, and that is certainly not a lie.

For all that StarCraft is and StarCraft II is going to be in terms of a great RTS, I'm still looking forward to the STORY in the game the most, because that's the reason that I got hooked on the first game to begin with. It's not all about gameplay, or they would have released SC II in one part, rather than dividing it into 3 sections to expand the storyline.

2. There's no arguments. Its opinion.

You think its a valid marketing technique and that the target audience is smart enough to get it. I think its underhanded to show cinematic claiming its gameplay and I think it can be classified as lying.
