I have a little trouble wrapping my head around it, as it doesn't bother me in the slightest and I can't imagine it bothering me, but... I suppose if it does, it does, there's no getting around that.

Ha ha, all those who criticize such a piece of work fail to have a sense of how truly far the in-game cinematic has come for Blizzard.

Anybody remember WarCraft 3: TFT? In it for the final fight, Blizz showed Arthas and Illidan in a showdown using the game engine. It looked good for its time, but SC 2 has clearly brought this farther. Seeing that this will likely remain as a trailer on the web exclusively, and will not be distributed on TV is probably the reason why they chose to meld the pre-renderd scenes with the in-game engine.

As for cliche trailers, yeah sure, this nailed every cliche. Makes me wish it WERE a movie too, but it was a dang good trailer, and it certainly caught me by surprise.

I'm just very happy that the story appears to be character driven. I was afraid the game was merely going to be an Indiana Jones style hunt for artifacts, it appears to be a lot more dynamic than that. =) I am happy!

GAAH I cannot WAIT for when I wake up next Tuesday to see that my STARCRAFT 2 IS ABLE TO INSTALL. I'll run downstairs, startup my gaming PC, start installing. Run upstairs start up my mac, start installing. Go to battle.net website BUY THE DAMN GAME ON CREDIT CARD. And hopefully by then my downstairs PC is installed, and lock myself in my room for the entire day.

I actually just reinstalled SCI and Broodwar and fired up battlenet 1.0 out of shear desperation for an SC fix.

It's virtually unplayable for me now, after being spoiled by SCII.

No auto mining, no reactors, no reapers, no this, no that.

5 more days...5 more days...gotta keep it together.
