I figured out the origin of the HEV canister, it's a shell casing from Raynor's rifle. I'll see if I can't get an enhanced version if you can't read the lettering.

Yeah, but now we know so, I for one never, ever trust trailers, they're edited to lead you down the wrong path 90% of the time. Also, now we know it's an acronym, and not part of a word we couldn't see the rest of. The only thing I can think of is Hyper Evolutionary Virus, but I don't see any reason why Raynor would be firing Zerg infested bullets.
