It just hit me with the closing of beta that StarCraft is ACTUALLY being released So, yes, I am very excite!

Even if you got it early it would be useless, as you need to go online to activate to even play single-player. Also Blizzard's legal team might probe as to why a computer was trying to connect to their service before the game was in store. More trouble than it's worth

That happened with some WoW expansions. A friend of mine got his WoW expansion a day or two days before release directly from the store because he lived in a pretty small town back then. Since the WoW retail servers were still up, he could connect with his Burning Crusade account and Started gaining experience in Azeroth, but just couldn't go through the portal to reach BC.
He didn't get banned or anything though. I wonder if blizzard just looked the other way.

Banner ads are also popping up everywhere. You see them on YouTube, Kotaku, and several other popular gaming website. They're spending a ton of money on advertising. Oh how I wish they were our client

Wow yesterday i went to a couple of game stores in order to find which one would have a midnight opening... Several game stores have been gifted a small HD monitor to play a couple of "adds". This is basically a couple of videos related to the collectors edition or artwork. I want to get a hold of one of this videos, but they told me they were for marketing pourposed only. It was pretty neat but it said that the collector's edition will bring updates of exclusive P2P content (duno if this is literally true, you know ¿Marketing?).

Prices for the collector's edition in some places are already at double price too. The most expensive I've seen is 280 dollars.

Not to mention the Lakers VS Celtics ad.

Damn... I am sticking to my $60 copy that I am going to get at my local EB games accompanied by my wife who is almost as excited as I am about it!! I've never been to such an event before; do I need to bring food or something?

Yeah...while the beta was going on...time seemed to fly by for me.

Now that's it's over, this last week is just dragging ass. Ugh!
