How did you end the beta?

I'd like to add that I beat him with his own favorite race(he's a Zerg player and I'm a Terran) and that I also destroyed him with BC's in another game because I was so far ahead that I had the time to build a victory fleet But! GRUNT did kicked my ass in scrap station while I was Protoss so our final score for this session was 3:1 for me

Meh, I suck now . Definitely dropped off in skill quite significantly due to lack of practice!

That, and I don't think my favoured style simply can't handle what you've been up to lately! You used to do a couple phases of harass at the start then go for a more conventional army :].

Well, the beta isn't done yet, but I don't think I'll be able to play much today.

I ended up Diamond rank 13-18ish, 350ish ELO, 38-21. That month off really eroded a lot of my timings. I was like 50-24 at the end of phase 1, rank was between 16-20 but my ELO was much higher, around 500.

Second phase of beta I only played nine games in 2v2 and one 3v3 game. Went 1-0 in 3v3 and 6-3 in 2v2 Gold.

A few days ago I had decided that I wanted to be in the top 10 in my gold league, so I played a few games..and got promoted instead to platinum rank 40 or so and just said screw it dont wanna climb that ladder too. Silver to platinum in 80 games was fun, especially when trying completely new strats for each race. My beta ended with a very, very fun community game that was in the Legacy Observer where I learned a few things. Gamepro is now my rival because of Tron, people hate mass carriers on a 6 player FFA, and Jdaws 2 gates every single time no matter who, what, or when. All in all it was a great way to end the beta and much fun was had all around. Can not wait for more community stuff to be had when the game is released.

Also, remember guys, when you get promoted to a new division, take look at your ladder. You might be ranked 3 after your latest promotion, but there may only be 5 guys in your recently created division.

I ended in Silver 4. Was around there the whole phase 2.

Wow you ended in Silver with 49-48?? That seems like an upper Gold or Platinum record. I was 13-12 and ranked like 50th in Platinum. I'm sure I may have been pushed down to Gold eventually but it seems weird that 49-48 would be in Silver.

Why, the system may keep him from gold till his play data is more in line with that league

You don't get promoted based on win/loss it's based on a the data from the games
