Yeah, you can't really get your fanbase addicted to the game and then go back into a long development. There'd be hell to pay.

I'm not worried about the units so much as I am about Bnet's infrastructure!

What if a couple weeks into release, they need to re-do how the matchmaking system works, or change the League/division system again? Would they just not do something that big once retail is out? Would they wipe everyone's stats to do it?

    But yeah, I'd say it's ready ^^.

It's ready. It's coming. It has already been manufactured. We had this thread a week ago. It was something like 90% of SC2 fans will tell you the game is ready. Bnet will likely improve overtime.

    ...thats all.

The game is ready for stores, but still needs balancing. As the single player is ready, and patches are easy to distribute, i think the game is ready for release.

That doesn't means the game is balanced. It's balanced enough for the beta phase, but Terrans would need nerfing if they want PvT to be fair, at least at Silver or lower, where the bigger amount of players are.

Air units still need tweaking, also. The Mothership is useless, Capital ships are too weak to things like Void Rays and Vikings, and Void Rays are very cheesy units, that work only by getting massed and catching the enemy with the pants down. Still, that can be fixed by modifying attack mechanics and unit stats.

Assuming Battle.net is less buggy, then, yes.
    Whats so buggy with Bnet?

I think it could have been ready to ship when Beta phase 1 ended.

The games done, at this point it's debateable changes to units, minor adjustments, and the rest is wait and see. Battle.Net is going to be an ongoing process continually updated and refined.

It's done. And yes people...it is time.

Those bugs only tend to happen after a new patch, when the servers are updating and what not...
Won't be a problem with the day 1 patch as it'll already have been online for a few hours. They might not have this problem with the game release as they are not in a hurry to release patches, since the game doesn't end as the beta does.

Kudos to Arkceangel for the Terran avatar and sig!
