Default Qualities of a Starcraft Player

Which Quality do you guys think is the most important for a SC player?

APM: a high action per minute means you are good right?
Macro: The more units you have the better right?
Micro: Moving your units to get the best out of them.
Strategy: Having a sense of what to do and what you want to do.(
Keeping Calm: Not panicking and giving up too quickly.
Good Manners: You would have more friends helping you.

I dont mean not having others but which one is the most important that helps you.

While I highly value good manners, that particular choice in the poll seems entirely out of place.
All the other choices are things that have an effect on a match's outcome.

I said keeping calm, at least that's what I say because I have the hardest time with it. Keeping calm can actually help you make better choices and have better reaction time, so it effects everything (even manners). Pro players are like stone statues.

Macro is the most important quality, although strategy is a close second and it usually comes before macro in a sequence of events of a game. But you can have the right strategy but the execution WILL fail because of poor macro.

For example, you make an immortal because you see a roach warren on 1 base. Good. But, you don't make enough support such as zealots/sentry to use FF, and the zerg player just overwhelms you with mass roach. Immortals will only take 10 hits before the shields are down. If there are 10 roaches that's 1 volley of focus fire, and then the immortal just dies. SO you had the right idea to get robo for observers and Immortal for a push or to counter Roaches, but because your macro sucked, you lost. Happens a lot in Silver and lower Gold leagues.

Hence macro is THE most important factor to win, and the quality that matters the most.

I voted Macro just because there is no "other" option.

I feel the most important skill is balance. You have to have good micro, macro, apm, strategy and calmness to be really great.

You don't have to be the best in micro or APM, but if you are good at all things instead or being godlike in APM and have no game sense at all you will still suck.

So yeah, you need to be an all round player even if not godlike in specific stuff to be one of the best players.

    I say keeping calm.

Trust in your units is basic.

I chose calm because you can have all of the strategy in the world, but if you start to get nervous and having difficulty selecting your units or abilities right when you need to, it will definitely cost you the game.

I said APM as I view both micro and macro to be direct derivatives of APM. So why not strategy? No strategy or plan survives contact with the enemy, so if he/she can guess what you are up to, and do more things in the same timespan as you, you are probably going to lose.
