Are you guys sure this client can't be activated with a retail code? I'd love to knock some time off the installation process.

-- Nevermind I found it You'd think they'd put that in the FAQ instead of at the top of the page where I can't see

Meh, I'm installing from the disk like old-school, but it's nice to see the site will get an upgrade.

    Thanks!

I really want to see the full Zeretual vs. Kerrigan fight.

Just registered to post my findings here:

Apparently there's also a client download which doesn't seem to be the beta client available if you have SC2 beta registered on your bnet account.

    1. Go to: http://beta-us.battle.net/sc2/en/
    2. Sign in
    3. Click on "Account"
    4. You'll see a list of your registered games. Click on "StarCraft II®: Wings of Liberty"
    5. On the following page, you'll be able to download a SC2 Client which is a bit more than 7 GB in size (beta client was 5 GB, I believe), the filename ("StarCraft_2_EU_en-GB") also does not hint it to be a beta client, neither does the folder the downloader creates: "SC2-WingsOfLiberty-enGB-Installer". There's also no beta logo when you run the Installer.

I don't know if it's just a blown up beta client, including all the patches, or if it's the "real deal"; neither do I know if it's the Digital Download version, or if you'll be able to use this client with your Retail Key. I'll download it and keep you posted .

Btw: downloading the beta-client from regular www.battle.net isn't possible anymore (at least for me, enGB client)

    Edit:
Filename's the same for the Digital Download version.

Looks like you can install without activating (works just like WoW). Now all someone has to do is find away around the date check in the installer.

What do you mean? You can actually install it but cannot run it sort of thing?

For me it's saying it's beta status, even though it says Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty.

Someone datamine haxx0rz quick, so we can all have the game ruined for us pre-release!
