So it specifically says if you're getting a boxed copy this isn't for you. Are they just trying to save bandwidth or will the CD code from the boxed retail version not work to activate a downloaded copy? I won't be able to play until I get home from work that day and my copy is coming from Amazon. It would be nice to be loaded up and just need to activate when I got home.

What I understand is that you can't install this downloaded version yet. It's just so when it is released you won't have to download it, you can just install and go. The boxed serial or whatever will work fine with this downloaded version. It just wouldn't really be too much faster to install from the download than install from the cd.
