In clarification, what I thought was funny was the fact that the TC thought that Corsairs were not useful in SCBW. That is extraordinarily hilarious.
    I'm with you there...

Definitely one of the least used units in SC1, but we're talking about air-to-air units. The scout could attack both ground and air so it does not qualify as an AtA unit.

Corsair is by far the most useful air-to-air in SC pro gaming, and Valkryies actually started to see a lot of use in the past two years against zerg. Devourers are probably one of the least used AtA units in SC just because they are only useful in late game against strong air units like carriers and BCs, plus they require morphing and other nonsense that makes them a pain to use. Most pros just stick with mutas and scourge to handle air with zerg.

Good thing they don't shoot ground targets.
nope the siege tank or reaver was a much more dangerous critical mass unit...you ever see those pro-mass reaver/shuttle build with corsairs vs zerg? the only way to beat that was to pretty much abandon ground units and make mutas and devourers.

and mass tank armies were very very powerful

Scouts in SC1, all air units seem pretty useful in SC2.
After Scouts the worst air unit in SC1 is probably the valkyrie.

SC ONE got useless units and yet SC TWO doesn't. AMUSING.

    We're talking about air units.
Siege Tank is owned by air. Though yeah, you won't travers ground once there's a ton of Tanks.
But Reavers? I don't know. With their "God may this one blow F***CK!!!" intellegent Scarabs, their slowness and overall clumsiness ten or so Reavers would be killed by a decent decent force.

    We won't forget you, Cap'n.

And I don't think that a unit with an insane attack against Air can be not considered AtA.

Sorry, but 18 scouts easily beat 12 carriers or BC's. Which makes them very very useful in fighting that particular niche - that particular niche being game-ending whoopass.

Not if you focus fire on the Scouts. Even without doing it, it's dubious. It doesn't really matters, anyways, because adding a few Corsairs instead of so many Carriers would completely rape the Scouts at almost no cost.

At the cost of the Scout, it's easily the worst air unit in the history of SC.

I am with you, pal. Scout was quite disappointing and I rarely used it in SC1.

I think that there are no bad units. Being a zerg player, I found the Devourer extremely useful.
Also, scourges? Maybe the best zerg air unit in the game. A muta scourge combo could take out anything.
