StarCraft cracked, again??!

Well this means someone hacked into Blizzard or some Blizzard employees are helping them. Ether way, why get an illegal starcraft 2, when you can get a copy that is supported by blizzard and is legal? Next step is hacks (multilayer cheats for those who don't know) and bots.

I'm mostly amused by the fact that the people saying "it'll take months at least", as though they had the slightest idea what they were talking about, were proven wrong.

Other than that, well... dunno if this will have much of an impact on sales or on the game. Emulated servers always lag behind real servers a bit, and patching is a bit of a mess often times. Maybe some people will play there, but I doubt any of those people would have bought the game from blizzard anyways, regardless of whether these servers exist or not.
IMO blizzard's job is just to keep them to a bare minimum since eradicating them would take too much effort for little gain.

Yup, and what it looks like is they have their own servers. Which means less people to play with, and a battle.net with problems. I would prefer to have a working copy from Blizzard. Sometimes its better to pay for something rather than get it for free.

But are people honestly that lazy to go out and get the game themselves? Imo, it's more satisfying to actually buy the game, and a helluva lot less trouble than pirating. Pirating you have to deal with all these fixes or whatever, and if you just go out and buy the game you'll save yourself a lot of stress.

True ... but when the game costs 1/3 of the minimum salary in your country, you kinda start to wonder Anyhow -this is not any game we are talking about- this is SC2. So I guess allmost averyone who ever heard of SC will want to buy the game (me included)

Anyone who wants to be good at starcraft 2 would buy it so they could actually play against the best of the best, not people who have to download every game for free because they're deadbeat losers.

He is just implying that some people have more initiative to pirate the game. Like 1/3 of a salary.
Its not high science to understand that that is too much for those people.

Anyways I don't think people who waited 12 years will pirate it, but there are going to be people that do pirate it for various reasons.

Games cost tons enough as it is for them and they certainly do not get paid what some of us do in America. It is going to get pirated and should come to no surprise. I'm more surprised at the people calling everyone who pirates a deadbeat loser (Total blanket statement).

But Blizzard understand this and is trying to help them by offering different payment methods specifically for the Russians and other countries. There shouldn't be any good reason to pirate the game at this point.
