I voted NO, but that`s not completly true - I do not look up the achievments list and say "okay, lets trry to get this in this game" , but as I play and suddanly an achievments pops out I`m very pleased - a bonus to every win. Like this game I played as terran against protoss - he massed void rays, so I went for mass marrines + thors and vikings ----> And suddanly - Terran macro master ! ha !

I have the "Protoss Macro Master" archivement. You only need to have 9 units warping-in at the same time. Hardly a macro master

maybe pursue 3-4 achievements, but I don't play because of gimmicks. I play for story and fun.
Campaign for story and online for fun. Making a few maps along the way also.

Personally going for achievements seems like a waste of time to me.

Difrn't strokes Dustin. If I truly like a game I will play for the achievements. Some aren't hard. I've 100% in both uncharted games. It took a little extra time but not much. I'm still actively trying for mr. Invincible on Mega Man 9&10. That's not getting hit once for the entire game. That's how much I love them. It's the new version of your buddies challenging you to try and beat a level fast or without getting hit. For me, and many others, it adds a new level to the game.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.

Achievements are great! Very successful in lots of games including World of WarCraft.

I voted yes. But I do not indend to get 100% of all achievements.
I'm going to attempt getting all the achievements related to my chosen race...
Which appears, currently, to be Protoss.

But then again, after playing through single player, I may opt for Terran.

Digression: I wonder how single player will handle teaching basics of Protoss and Zerg.

Not necessarily...I just was agreeing with past posts that it is something that people might try. I'm actually in Bronze at the moment.

And I think that a normally Gold or Diamond level player would have an easier time against Bronze level players. He would have to lose some here and there though to remain at the Bronze level. More than a few actually.

But I agree with the rest of your post...its hard to tell where the talented player ends and the cheater rears his head. But to collect them all...that might be the only option.

Well I could always win 1 and then quit the other one on purpose and so on.

If we assume that I will win 70% of the time and that each game that I rush will last around 7 minutes max while the game that I quit will last around 1 minute max and that the time to get a game takes up to 20 seconds then I estimate that to get 1000 win as each 4 races in both team games and 1v1 games will take me around 1031 hours! Damnit... Now imagine if you wanted to get all all those achievements without rushing
