I pre-ordered

Hi, I pre-ordered from Best Buys store directly, and they didn't have any like collectors boxes but they had the normal boxes, and when I was at the check out the boy who I believe didn't know what he was talking about told me that I could request the collectors edition and just pay the extra when I go to pick it up on the 27th.

Has anyone ever done this before? Does anyone here work at Best Buy? Help please!!

You can...

1. Call the Best Buy you are going to pick it up from and work something out with the manager.

2. Cancel/Refund order, and get it from other stores which do have Collectors Edition for sure (Gamestop, Amazon, or TL).

Personally, I ordered a Collectors Edition at Gamestop, but decided to just get the regular copy. Luckily, my friend works there and he told me someone is going to pick up my collectors edition anyways, so it doesnt matter.

1. I do believe they know I am going to pick it up. I do not think they know I want the collectors edition though. Because all they had out was boxes for the non collectors. The boy said just to ask for the the collectors. I don't think that can be right though. I did not order online. I'm sort of confused by what you said. I do not understand, sorry.
2. I do not want to cancel the order. I did originally want to go with Gamestop, but they did not originally have the Collectors Edition when I was ordering.

I do plan on getting the collectors edition and spending the extra money. The receipt they gave me was just for a normal one though. The boy told me to ask for the collectors edition when it's time. It didn't seem like he knew what he was doing so I assumed he doesn't know what he's talking about.

definitely sounds like he doesnt know wtf he's talking about. you should talk to someone in the media department and see if they even have the Collectors Edition SKU# in their inventory.

If not, you're SOL...better try EB GAMES / GAME STOP .

I can't speak for Best Buys in the States, but in Canada they're giving out CE's on a first come first serve basis. If WOTLK is any indication, I'm gonna have to line up hours beforehand to get my hands on it.
