    I bet it's just a flashback cinematic.

In WoL there's a mission where you go back to the where he killed the Overmind. Maybe you'll see him there :P
Is this based on speculation that their is an overmind picture or what?

I will be so disappointed if they don't make a unique portrait for Tassadar.

*looks up at the SCLegacy forum banner. Sigh.

I had an epiphany; Tassadar's role in SC2 is

    To look badass

Physical how? The remains of the HTs? In what form?
It would make much more sense to me if they were just pure energy. That's what the SC1 Archons look like, anyways.

    Racist.
I REALLY hope that someday Blizzard will make Protoss distinctions not just in armor, skin color, crest, and psionic appendages. I'm hoping that they will eventually have unique facial shapes and height etc. things that diversify us as humans.

idk i think that protoss while similar on the outside are vastly different on the inside, which may be the hidden meaning behind their similarity of design.

How do you know it isn't already the case.
Anyways, they're a psionic race, that means that they don't have such a need to recognize people by it's external appearance, or recognize feelings by facial expressions.
We're really sight-centric, but other species rely on smell, or hearing, or even senses we don't have at all, like sonar.

They don't look that way in SC2. They have physical heads & stuff. They even keep their armor. Check out the Twilight Archon short story in frontline too.
