This solves nothing and creates much worse. Good thing I don't use the Battle.net forums too much.
As for trolls, spammers, hackers, etc., you'd think they would find a way to continue doing what they're doing. With realID, they can now do it using our real names as well as any name they can cook up. It is possible to fake/steal a person's identity, after all. They (the thieves) don't need a reason other than those they already have. Thanks Blizz for serving our information on a silver platter.
As far as a monkey doing better, one might think so. Or one might think of monkeys being involved in other fashions. Lol. Here's to hoping Blizzard realizes what it just did, and rectifies the situation. The advantages of this move are relatively clear, but it seems the risks have been overly discounted.
