On second thought, this might somehow be the best way to fight trolling. I haven't figured out how yet but maybe they have. Maybe we shouldn't blame Blizzard but instead blame the trolls.

I could care less if people know my real name. When I meet someone anywhere other than online I don't introduce myself as Maul, so this doesn't bother me one bit.

keep in mind if you do any kind of negative post, it WILL be shown up on google when someone searches for your name.. Basically, any job interview you do from now on, will google search your name to see if you are a total dick.. and if it brings up posts of you bashing people on the bnet forums, that wont look good.

Well I am a bit older now, but when I searched my old username on google I was redirected to element td forum. And some of those posts I made just made me look really stupid. At some parts I really whish those posts are just deleted.....

I don't want this to be turned up when someone searches my name. (or like I said, someone searching for something in a hectic discussion my name pop up with thoughts they totally disagree with. (like some extreme-religious terrorists) Ok, I might be overreacting I am only looking this through worst case scenario here have that in mind. It's not like something bad will happen to me because of this, but potentially in a worst case scenario it could happen.

*Also I am fond of using a nickname...
**But I really hope the trolling that is happening on b.net forums will be gone. (but there was to a much MUCH smaller extent on beta parts) So I'm not all against it.

yes that is indeed how google works. If you make an insanely inflammatory post that reaches over 10 pages and everyone including their dog links your thread to x,y,z, you're screwed.

I ain't ever making a username there. Wtf were they thinking .

Normally I'm all for defending Blizzard.

Real-ID in-game was okay because it was moderated to who is your real life friend.

Now its just going to be plastered there? This seems highly unnecessary.
