And as Metzen pointed out almost immediately after that, it was an ass pull. Meaning prior to that point, they hadn't given Stukov much thought/plans; i.e. keeping him effectively dead/ignoring his continued existence.

Which I ultimately advocate.keeping him effectively dead/ignoring his continued existence.
Aaand sold.
Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow
Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?
The road's goal is the Origin of Being
But be wary through what thickets it winds.

I can't vote. There is no option that fits what I would vote for. And so I present:
An Explanation of Why I Can't Vote
When I played Brood War for the first time, I knew that Stukov would be my favorite character. I will admit that at first it was because he was Russian. But, over time - a very short time, mind you - I realized that he was just.. awesome. To quote Kerrigan: "Oh, and by the way, Admiral: Your friend Stukov was twice the man you are." Stukov's death was the only thing in StarCraft that truly made me sad. I think I cried. I even remember an old friend waking up to my saying, "I want to kill* that son of a b*tch!"
*I think I said something more graphic but we'll leave it at that.
He may have died but his 'plot' was my absolute favorite from StarCraft: Brood War or even the original StarCraft. Although I suspected it would happen, it was still interesting.
And then, that... thing.
That 'Stukov' sounded whiny and pathetic. The old Stukov had the balls to go against his best friend's orders. Whatever it was, it was a complete and utter failure. It's like Blizzard took the real Stukov and took a shit on his personality along with the script.
The second one is definitely more bad-ass and that's because it's what I refer to as the real Stukov. I will remember Stukov as the true bad-ass of the UED. Not whatever that thing was supposed to be. And so, there can only be one conclusion: Epic fail, Blizzard. Epic fail...As compared to this:ALEXI STUKOV
Now you will taste the vengeance of the New Swarm. Destroy them!!!!
ALEXI STUKOV
Release me! You know nothing of what-
ALEXI STUKOV
NO! You will not wrest me from The Swarm! I will... We will... NOOO!
Alexei Stukov
Listen here, Lieutenant, I've had just about enough of your-

To hell with y- !

I had a lot of respect for Stukov as a character, which is why I don't want him pulled back from the dead. Only if his character is sufficiently changed - mentally/emotionally damaged from infestation - would I accept it. And there's a lot of potential in that: he would be effectively cut off from his UED comrades in an unfamiliar land, and yet I see him having absolutely no trouble whatsoever, pulling on decades' worth of experience and training to establish himself in the K secter. He's still be pretty badass.

He already IS cut off from all his UED comrades. They all think he's dead.I had a lot of respect for Stukov as a character, which is why I don't want him pulled back from the dead. Oh, I forgot the context of your earlier posts when replying to the latest one.
I think it's absolutely essential that Stukov's recent adventures impact his characterization, if he makes a return. Without a doubt. So while I voted the option that is most enthusiastic about him, this thought was always in my mind. If they bring him back but pretend that nothing has happened, well, 1. why bother? and 2. that's very disrespectful to the continuity they've gone out of their way to preserve.
Agreed whole-heartedly.

If tassadar hadn't showed up I would have voted yes
But two coming back from the dead?
I personally don't like it and vote no

But what if his return also has meaning?
