Ghost can beat Marine in many ways. The easiest is this one:
1. Ghost takes out a StimPack
2. Marine approaches Ghost
3. Ghost throws StimPack into an abbys
4. Marine blindlessly follows Stim and falls to his death
Or just knifes him with psionic powers

Wasn't that a Ripper armor, and not a CMC one? I also believe when Tychus broke the visor, it was made of "low-grade plasteel." And even at that, it took him a couple of humongo-muscle assisted rifle butting to break it.
So, a CMC suit may be more powerful than the more rudimentary patched up Ripper suit and if it has mid-grade plasteel, then Tychus probably would stand no chance of piercing the visor.![]()

Ghost hands down. all they train for is combat, with knives or hands. they are the domains trained pet assassins. What makes you think a grunt can go against theses odds.

Kimera, how is it going to be a long battle in any way?
If both don't have armour, a Ghost will just kill the marine using superior close combat that he's trained a whole part of his life for.
If they both have armour, the Ghost is just going to punch through the visor.
Take a look at Orientation where even you said the Ghost was a rather weak one. He crushed a guy's face using his hand (thanks to his suit no doubt) and was able to survive getting shocked to death by electricity.

If the marine has armor, the ghost will have a hard time.
Also, ghosts have specialties. Some are really good at martial arts or close-quarters combat... and some not. The one in the StarCraft comic, for instance, would simply melt the marine's brain, armor meaning nothing.
It's a bit of a ridiculous, contrived situation anyway.

Well if both have armor, the Ghost armor is supposed to be made of some psi-reactive fibers, right? Which means that he has enhanced strenght also, so maybe they can punch thru the visor anyways.
Kerrigan broke the cockpit of a Goliath with the butt of a weapon, right? If needed, the Ghost could grab a makeshift weapon, also, like a rock, or some piece of tubing.

Well Marines are so much stronger than ghosts, but ghosts are much more agile.
