Why do you think I enjoyed dressing as him
I plan on doing it again once I get my six pack back in shape for it.

Well, anyone that liked DBZ over something like Death Note, or Fullmetal Alchemist, should also see Bleach and S-cry-ed. It follows the same style of we-are-going-to-pwn-the-shit-out-of-everyone. The genre is normally called shonen.

Gurren Lagann pretty much defines the epic shonen catagory

You think that is manly? When I speak of manly, I mean Marcus Fenis, Kratos, and te dude from 300 just to name a few.
While we're creating fantasy character and we have the liberty of perfection why chose this shit?
Maybe it's because I actually body build but I have a VERY different opinion on "manly" than anyone else here I've seen.
Also, "angular and lean" is a very nice definition of feminine.

What's all this talk about "manly" this, "manly" that. I'm sure it's all ****s and giggles, but deep down, I wonder if this is the 1950s, and the guys claiming for manliness are the same dudes who would probably seriously wonder why their wives are out of the kitchen.![]()

1) My wife is always in the kitchen. Shes knows better than to cross that threshold. I made sure she understood the law last time she tried to escape.
2) I feel so lonely. Am I the only one left who has testosterone flowing through his veins? Do you people even have sex drives?

Man, Its hard to find good anime these days... Pretty much all the stuff I like is from the 2000s and earlier. Some of my favorites recently though are the remastered(blue ray quality) versions of older anime. For some reason the hand drawn style just has more character than this newer digtal anime.
If anyone hasn't seen visions of escaflowne then I highly recommend it. Granted I was younger when I saw the tv series so I might be giving it more credit than it's due... but the movie version is freaking sick. Its hand animated on the level of akira. Beautiful film.
Someone was talking about dragon ball kai. I'ts the exact same show because all they did was take the original footage they had and rescanned it at a higher resolution and higher range of colors. So what we're seeing now is what they actually meant for it to look like. Its just that when it was originally put onto a disk they didn't have the tech to make it look so nice.
all that said... there are a few gems that are new...
Code Geas is really freaking awesome if u can forgive its awkward moments and occasionally retarded antics. I stuck with it because of the story and characters. Also like how the main character was such a badass and ruthless. Its one of the few shows I've ever seen where you didn't trust the protagonist.
Rebuild of Evangellion is pretty sick too. They just need to release the 3rd and 4th movies. It gets to be pretty insane if you've seen the original 24 eps and the movie end of Evangelion. Theres just all sorts of little things that u pick up on if you remember the old story.
Oh and Tychus, I'm not trying to be a dick or anything but I don't know why u care what the dudes in animes look like :P
If its a decent story its a decent story... I have to admit I hate shinji from Evangelion but I love the story. Then again I think it was written like that. I don't think anyone is supposed to like shinji. :P
Oh... jumping in on what demolitionSquid started. I leave you all with the ultimate question in the universe:
Pokemon or Digimon?
EDIT: Yes the reason for this wall of text IS boredom on a rainy saturday.
