While I KNOW that Code Geass (It's a show about Terrorism!) is bad, I haven't seen A:TLA, and I don't really think I will. If you can tell me what you like about it, and what you like about Code Geass, I'll tell you if I'll get around to watching it.
What's so bad about terrorism? It's really all depending on what angle you're looking at it from. Pretty much like poor ol Jimmy, do you consider him a terrorist, or a freedom fighter? That's what CG is. I think the plot is good but that's just my opinion, and the ending surprised me as well.

As for the last air bender, the fight scenes are great, the acting is amazing, and the character development is well done. It also has an ample amount of good humor as well as scenes that are emotionally driving. A big part of it is about friendship really, and the hardships that these friends go through to save the world. I like the originality of how they use the elements to combat each other. The plot isn't that deep, pretty much the Avatar just has to learn the 4 elements to stop the firelord before he takes over the world on a certain date. But that's just how it is, things happen to the protagonists on a daily basis and they just deal with it as life passes.

yeah as the show went on the fights got more and more intense. Although, i feel that they dropped the ball with Aang, he doesnt become a serious fighter until the end.

Ehh, I feel Avatar had poor characters. Aang was two dimensional, Katara was..., Sokka was almost useless and was devoted entirely to comedic relief, and Zuko was pretty emo. Although he definitely doesn't reach Sasuke levels, but that's nothing to be proud of.

Really? I felt like they developed pretty well, their opinions constantly changing about different things as they learn throughout the series. And Sokka became useful at least after he learned how to use a sword. If there's one thing that's important, it's that he didn't get in the way, like every other anime character. Sakura I can say is a POS character and I couldn't be more happy if she died. Zuko was emo but that's his character, he constantly struggled with what he thought was right but afterward when he joined the Avatar he became a much less emo/angry person.

The real changes happened mainly in the third "book" and thus nearing the end of the series. But that's worthless, because there's little build up to it. It makes watching it for the last book tedious, in my opinion. I'm not saying the series was bad. I think it had a great background and setting. The characters were the main detractors and could have largely been improve upon.

The only characters I really liked were Toph and Iroh.

"Code Geass. It's a show about terrorism."
    Or... not.

Terrorism is attacking a civilian populous in order to strike terror into the hearts of the people, to affect political change.

Lelouch ruled that out in one of the early episodes. "We don't take hostages. Now KILL YOURSELVES!"

That's just 'freedom fighting', and to tell the truth...
I was rooting for the Britanians. Harsh? No, realistic. The Britanians were idiots. The only tactic they seemed to know was "OMFG ZERGRUSH LOLLERSKAETS!", their idea of "flanking" (applies to the resistance too, or whatever they called themselves) was "Rush the last known enemy position, stop right where they were standing, and wonder where they went."

If the Elevens got conquered by a race that stupid, they deserved the slums. They deserved the name "Elevens". It's called "Natural Selection".

The sheer number of idiot balls that were bounced off the Britanians made it so that I started skimming through the fight scenes, knowing that Lelouch would win because THE BRITANIANS ARE BUILDING MECHA FOR HIM THAT ARE IMMUNE TO BULLETS, BUT NOT SWORDS?! I MEAN, DID COMMON FRICKIN' SENSE GET GEASSED HERE?!

So, apparently, Lelouch is a tactical genius, right?
    BULL! FREAKIN'! CRAP!

The whole EXTENT of his successes HINGED on the Britanians being dumb as rocks. When he wasn't pulling magnitude eleven deus ex machinas out of his puckered rear. Yes, I AM thinking of that "Earthquake management system" he used in the final battle.

In the same battle, he also shows his tactical prowess by taking out an entire FLEET of gunships.
    1. Turn the giant mech's PWNZER cannons on.
    2. Sweep to the left.
    3. Sweep to the right.
    4. Look at all the pretty explosions

For a show where the fans keep talking about the chess motif and the "arms race" subplot, there really isn't much there.

There were plot points I liked, such as how the guy they rescued on the mountain won the only battle against Britannia (Because his troops were at the base, sober, and had sidearms nearby, I imagine) only to hold back post-war Japanese insurrectionists, because they thought of his victory as a "Miracle". Or the drug that Britannia was using to keep the Elevens docile, how it brought back their old memories. Or the episodes that featured Mao. Or how Lelouch wasn't fighting for Area 11, but wanted revenge for his mummy getting shot, and the insurrectionists were a tool.

Unfortunately, he found the access prompt to life early in the series, and typed in "God Mode". The only person who ever REALLY did him any damage was Mao, and when Mao was gone for good, the series regressed into "Look at our smart young protagonist outwitting those silly little Brits".

    So...
Would you say that the fight scenes are 'Great' in Code Geass as well?

Naw, I wouldn't say the fight scenes are good in CG. I'm not a fan of gundam fight scenes except for the original Gundam Wing. And plu, CG wasn't meant to be an action anime in the first place.

But meh, to each their own.

Geass has it's intelligent moments, and it's stupid moments. Overall, it's pretty good.
One good part i liked is (spoilers):
    Hidden Content:
when he defeats the guy that could read minds, by confusing him with a recording, and a bunch of people

Still, it's unrealistic how easily people switches sides, and some situations are quite ridiculous.
