I've watched a few episodes of Naruto. Well I've seen the first season then I stopped watching, but I've tried making sense out of everything here but it really seems that the writers of this show just make it up as they go along. You guys seem pretty interested in it. You know all the back story and lore, when chances are there is nothing more to it then there really is because it's all made up on the spot. I really don't get the interest into anime. If only it took it's self more serious. I like anime, but I hate how every show has to be so... I'm not sure of the word. The main problem I have with anime is the over dramatic emotions all the time. It really breaks the episode when it closes up on some stupid face with their eyes in some handicapped position. But it's a shame to see Naruto go so far down hill. I actually enjoyed it. Well up to like the 3rd season. Somewhere in the middle of the second season it started loosing it's charm for me. But the one episode in the first season where the man on the bridge kills all those union workers and then there boss. That was probably the best part of any anime I've seen. That was bad ass! Oh and when Naruto turned himself into the throwing star . That was kinda clever. Haha. I just don't see why people love anime shows so much when it all seems to be just made up on the spot information in the most horribly random way possible.

Just so we are clear by the way, if Naruto is ever fighting the Jyuubi that means he doesnt have the Kyuubi. If Naruto does get the Jyuubi i assume it's because either

a) Madara doesnt know how to use it properly or got the seal wrong
b) Naruto tricked Madara's ass and auto-seals the Jyuubi because he let the kyuubi out and let it merge, allowing the seal and control to carry over (this would be rediculously smart and i dont think they have that much brains).

Right now Naruto's biggest weakness remains to be the Sharingan's ability to mindfuck him and the Kyuubi. Counters? Naruto may be powerful but he still has no counter for it, Itachi at most gave him a sharingan power or unlocked something. Doesnt Naruto supposedly have some kind of eye technique because of the Whirlpool country? Basic Main Character Law's dictate he have an uber eye-technique to make other eye techniques look lame.

But seriously, I think that would Naruto get some badass-gun - it would be a big bad cliche. It will be awful.
When I wasn't into Naruto so much and when I heard about rasengan from my otaku buddies(yeah I know some thogu haven't seen them for aeons. But I've acted at an anime festival for a bit!!!) I thought "EH?? NAruto got himself an eye-technique? Hmmm... <_<"

While I KNOW that Code Geass (It's a show about Terrorism!) is bad, I haven't seen A:TLA, and I don't really think I will. If you can tell me what you like about it, and what you like about Code Geass, I'll tell you if I'll get around to watching it.

You are completely right my friend
Yeah most of the times a series' charm is lost in its transition from manga to anime.
The main problem when going anime is the censorship, which gets worse when the series gets to another country. Don't even get me started with 4Kids, they completely butchered One Piece in the US.
And I don't think writers make everything on the spot, some series do *cough* Bleach *cough* but not all. Some even take the care to place the entire story from the start (Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni is a clear example).

Watch Gundam 00 in Japanese if you can, great anime it deals with a realistic future or earth in a hundred years.

Its not drama heavy it has a meaning to it like Gudam Wing
