As everything, there is good and bad anime. You could see Death Note, or Fullmetal Alchemist. They're very good.

I couldn't agree more Gradius. It's the only anime I know of with fairly masculine characters with the androgyny kept to a minimum. Granted, a lot of the reason I liked it was because I was young but, as far as anime goes, it's the most compatible with me.

Some of it was damn near bad ass
