Thread: The Final Countdown

Nah I meant that I'm thrilled about beta coming back online^^
    Baby steps ya know
I'll play the single player, but that'll be done in a few hours tops (I'll probably pull an all-nighter or something anyways, since I'll want to know how the story goes). Beyond those "entertaining" first few hours, I'll start grinding the multiplayer as usual.

A long time ago, in a thread before beta was even out, asking what the first thing you would do once the game comes out. I put down mess with the editor because I was excited about it.

After trying and looking around in it and utterly failing in every aspect. I change that to playing single player.

You were seriously considering messing with the editor before playing the single-player?

Ya mang, well, not really, I didn't want to spoil myself. But I wanted to look at it to see how complicated it got since WC3. The only thing I love as much as a good campaign and story are the amazing custom maps that I've seen on SC1 and WC3 so I wanted to give it a shot myself at a quick basic throw together map just to see what it felt like.

I was gonna jump right into single player...and then poke around in the editor after finishing off two or three campaign missions.

I messed with the editor during the beta and think I'm just gonna segue into multi now after a few campaign missions.

The editor is just so far beyond me, it makes me feel like an illiterate 4-year old poking around in the New York Library.

I don't really care about the Terran storyline, so I'll be playing the multi-player non stop. (Zerg all the way!) Then if I get bored (Unlikely) I'll play the single player. Although, I don't want to buy an entirely other game just to play the Zerg storyline, so I'll just play multi-player.

Also, I don't really think Zerg needs much more work to make it balanced. Maybe they could make the corrupter use that Dark Swarm the defilers had, just to make them more anti air. And then they would be much more useful. I don't really enjoy they're Corruption spell, but I haven't used it much though. And maybe bring back the Roaches 2 armor or 1 supply cost. Either or would be fine.

I also want to try the editor. I have a great idea for lots of games. (No, I won't tell anyone what they are.)

This won't be the typical Terran storyline. Before, the Terran campaign was the beginning introductory story which, in just about anything, will be slower. This time Protoss, Zerg, and Xel'Naga lore will be integral.

    July 1.

After more than three years since the announcement video, it is hard to believe that I can finally say "Starcraft 2 is being released THIS MONTH".
