Early speedlings will effectively deny super early void rays as you force them to produce gas units such as stalkers since speedlings can force zealots to run around all day. Then once you know the tech you just keep to the strat and they will be far behind. I don't think void ray is very effective against zerg you don't have enough gas on 1 base to make it really viable. And if you start massing zerg will just go 2 base and mass queens and hydras.
