Yes, that is why I dislike Blizzard's Idea of the Pro Ed instead of offering it to everyone.

I'm sure we've had dozens. Besides, who DOESN'T want LAN?

Off Topic: Survival of the fittest you say? If that is your understanding of capitalism, than you are in a world of mis-information.
Anyways and again: Why should I be sympathetic to some1 ripping US off and drives planes of 100 million dollars, instead of 10.000 euros car? If not only I'm stupid to let be ripped-off, but also defend the ones that are ripping me off. Yeah, if that's where we are going god help us all !
But lets just drop this and continue on topic:
On topic: The simple FACT is that Blizzard is monetizing LAN by adding another PRO VERSION for it - They announced it themselfs, there is nothing unknown here, there is no mystery!
Blizzard said they want "better and more compelling experience" and "gameplay first" - what they are doing is : "worse and less good experience" and "monetization first"

Off-Topic: Tychus, i am a long time member of this forum but recently i haven't had much time to post much due to RL stuff, but this post honestly truly does offend me. Most of those people up in that 5% are heartless bastards, and frankly, thats how most of them rose to the top. Not caring or giving a shot to anyone but themselves. I dont get how your view of "superior genetic being to progress". So your saying that being heartless & cold to your fellow man and passing that trait on is "superior genetics"? Round where I live, thats a common thought process of most of the richer ppl in the area. I know thats not exactly what your saying but im getting a point across. There are MANY people out there that are more well adapted at life but are poor. A movie star(one of the top 5%) only has the advantage most of the time cuz they got looks. By your logic, Britney Spears is a "superior genetic being" to the rest of us but yet i doubt she has the brain copasity of a 9-10th grader.
And on ur "ambition" thing, many people fall because they are over ambiguous.
Being poor makes you no less genetically weaker than the next Big Wig CEO over. Im a generally nice person with an average 3.8 GPA(mother had a 4.0 through HS and currently in college has a 3.9), nothing to brag about, yet in our 7 kid home - we are one of the poorer families around in our poor area. Does that mean, even with our higher brain capacity, we are genetically weaker than those in our neighborhood who make 100+k a year sitting in a desk twiddling their thumbs? I must agree with DS and say: You are an Elitist, sir.
People who have that cynical view on humanity is what holds us back. We thrived to where we are by helping one another but some how just because we have monetary value now we should turn our backs to each other?
On-Topic: LAN isnt something that most of us need. LAN was a convenience, a small one if that. Yes, it is needed for large tournaments and such, but honestly, in most of our 10+ year go with sc1, did we really use LAN? It was a feature that was always there but seldom clicked on. Blizz is making LAN for big events because it needs to, but the average joe doesnt need it for playing via online works just as good. I wouldnt be surprised if when sc2 comes out if my bro comes over & plays his sc2 vs mine from the other room. This aint sc1 bnet, it can be done just fine.
@mikill: Your just going to have to deal with the lag, just like anyone else there will, including those there who have xbox and ps3. If you wanna go out and spend 200$ so you can enjoy a game with A LITTLE less lag, then go ahead. I dont mean to be ignorant or anything but really, ive played online games in my bros dorm &, at times, vs him from dorm to home. There really isnt much lag at all to be spoken of.

Shouldn't be a problem? I disagree. Games get interrupted if internet goes away, that means that the game data goes thru the BN2 servers.
Now, if you have a big lanparty, all the data from all computers is going out and back into the same internet connection. ADSL is asymmetric. I have 512kbps outgoing, and 128kbps incoming. It's a quite shitty telephonic system, and i'm sure there are plenty of places like this or worse around the world. Now, imagine 30 computers sharing a 128kbps link.
