Yeah don't look into that too much, IGN has dropped the ball numerous times telling its readers what they already knew. They posted news about WoW that those who visited the blizz forums already knew about....2 months prior. They should really have someone cover areas where they are likely to get timely information as a beat. Regardless that's IGN for ya...they've won some of my respect back with the recent articles they've been putting up. But for heaven's sake do something about that spam!

I like IGN because they're usually the fastest to report or post non specific game news and content (video/pictures). On top of that, their stream was right on time for E3 (unlike gamespot...). Unfortunately, their community seems to filled with Jordan spammers and 12 years old console fan boys. Overall, if you go there, don't waste your time with their fan sties, strategy articles or their community forums, just go straight for their non specific gaming news and you'll appreciate the website.

On another note, I'm really anxious to know what rating IGN will give to Starcraft 2. I'm thinking a 8/10 for unclear reasons. More intuition than anything.

Has anyone from IGN ever commented on battle.net 2.0?

Actually, does anyone know the original StarCraft I ratings? It wasn't perfectly balanced back then.

Battle.net 2.0 is a large step forward in many ways. Just because some people aren't as OCD about getting certain features doesn't mean you should laugh at their opinion. I'll admit though that some of the hyperbole was quite .. off base
