It wouldn't be spoiling the story, it would be spoiling the feeling of getting an introduction cinematic, which should serve its purpose when you start up your game for the first time.

Blizzard said that the SC2 cinematics will be focused on character and specific story events. There is a reason we see Raynor aiming his gun at someone in the commercial they released.
