    "When its ready"*

*Applies only to gameplay and not networking and socializing platforms

    Well, MS needs some rearranging
    Spawn Larva needs some rearranging
Some other Balance tweaks are probably needed.

But I'd say ready for release
    50 energy, 5 Larva, 5 seconds

There was no "Yes, it is ALMOST ready - there are still some balance fixes needed" option.

Hence my "No" vote, but technically it is more of a "Yes"

here are the few benchmarks I pulled with my RIG
there is the latest Dawn of War II with Chaos Rising addon upgrade

with the i7-860@3.8GHz and HD 4870
    1920x1200
Ultra, AAx2 Adaptive AA - quality set and all the eye candy ATI 3D drivers can add

and with the same CPU but with a HD5870 OC'ed
DoW2 - 1920x1200, ultra settings - same settings as previously

    tips
first score; average FPS, next max FPS and the last score min FPS

    Edit: Proper order
I'm sorry to say but Dawn of War II does not count as an RTS in my opinion. You control 4 guys that go against small skirmishes of units. StarCraft II has many many times the amount of units to calculate pathing for and all of the other stuff that is done with the CPU. It's the reason DoWII is GPU limited and not CPU limited.

If you recall StarCraft 1 wasn't really that good on release. It was constant tweaking and over the years that helped it get to where it is today.

The singleplayer has been ready for a very long time.
The multiplayer is nowhere near complete.

I feel the game itself is quite ready for release. The beta started with a lot more visual polish than previous Blizz games. Balance maneuvers have been good. I can't give that a "great" because of some lingering yet minor balance issues. On a readiness scale of 1 for not ready to 10 for "Hell, it's about time.", I would say SC2 is no less than a 9.

Zerg is ok, they can still have their casters be better fine turned though.
