Thread: Anyone else shocked at how fast time as flown?

    Default Anyone else shocked at how fast time as flown?

    I remember, then night when I was clutching my cheapo Dell 15 inch laptop, in bed, 3am, it was WWI07. The first screenshots of Starcraft 2 started flooding out.

    My first reaction was "wow, so they're going for ultra detail now, pretty neat art style"

    And now, I'm in the same bed, using my 15 inch Macbook Pro, 2 years later, watching the same videos, and going Wow, in 1 month, this game is getting released!

    How far have we come?

    Ah, much simpler times when all we had to argue about was how Warcraft 3 looking it was. Now it's all about how Bnet 2.0 should be more like Warcraft 3.

    The good ol' days...

    I think this is the third "look at how much things have changed since the game was announced" thread in recent times, but what the heck .

    You should have posted screenshots contrasting evil-looking Matt Horner from the first singleplayer reveal to the current friendlier-looking face ^_^.

    I liked the look of it more when it was bright. Wasn't Starcrafty I suppose, but man, I don't like the desaturated and darker color look. Too rusty, even if it was just like the first one. Oh well. I'll have to wait for the next RTS (not including the expansions) for that. I'm still hoping there'll be some more impressive tilesets on release. Like the snow one.

    It's been a long journey with all the units axed, changed and graphics updated, but I remember the day it was announced as if it were yesterday too. Time does fly.

    Farewell and adieu to you fine StarCraft units,
    Farwell and adieu units not to remain;
    The game has been changed for the Build was updated;
    And perhaps we shall see you in SP campaign.

    Oh, where are the Soul Hunters of yesteryear?

    Actually, things don't seem to have gone too fast to me. Everything is more or less right on schedule.
    Aaand sold.

    Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
    The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow

    Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
    Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?

    The road's goal is the Origin of Being
    But be wary through what thickets it winds.
