Hmmm. Thanks for that info. I think my SC2 may be broken :P

Excellent point. I find that the "key repeat" takes a while to activate. Does anyone know how I could change this? Would it be in the windows settings?

Also, here is how I do it:
S > shift +click click click... > ctrl-select > shift+2 (assign to army) > tell army to attack-move, which I'm doing routinely when I'm rallying units to my army anyways.

I do this mostly by habit, but now that I think about it, it makes sense:
-hitting shift+S won't have any impact on the S function until you start clicking. Shift+S > Click, is the same as S > Shift + Click
Which means that'll you'll have your two fingers occupied during that time, instead of just one (the shift key).
-there is no confusion between the rally (attack-move) and the move command. If my reinforcements are getting intercepted, they'll only engage if I'm telling my whole army to engage (say if the opponent is between my army and my reinforcements). Otherwise, I'll be telling my army to "move", so my reinforcements will do the same.
The only ability that is available to a unit warping in is a rally point (if you select the unit). It does not attack-move or move. The confusion between them is purely because of semantics (and possibly because move and rally are both right-click commands). They move, therefore move can be used (using a dictionary definition). They attack anything they encounter while moving, so attack-move can also be used. The simple fact is, it is a rally point.
Well put. You must have a bug protoswarrior... which is extremely odd... how could that be the only glitch you've had lol : )
