I really hate backdoors. And the small size of all current maps. And Gold Minerals (I'm mostly only short on gas anyway). Sure, let them stay in most maps, I'll agree to that, but I'd like at least one map with no backdoors, a huge size, so positioning matters a bit more, and no extrasparkly minerals. Sure, it's SC1-ish, but I'd really like that.

::Taking a deep breath:: Wanna know what gets on my nerves?

    - Those damn ledges by the natural/main of certain maps. This leaves me exposed to retarded ass Thor drops/Marauder snipes/siege tanks.

    - Maps with no open space to have a proper battle. How the heck am I suppose to fight in a choked up area?!

    - A terran player that can have a larger bio force than zerg off of 2 base. This is not a big deal to me, but it just gets on my nerves to know that Terran can "out-swarm" zerg with mass rines/Marauders

    - When my mini map is blacked out! How the hell am i suppose to play with no mini map? I have to manually drag the screen to wherever I want it to be! WTFBBQT_T!!!!

    - I also hate it when drive-thrus forget to put napkins/ketchup in your bag. WTF right? Imbalanced if you ask me!!!

    - However, I like doughnuts. Those are really good! haha

The fact that as Zerg i'm the easiest race to be scouted during the crucial early game opening moves, but i can't scout effectively at the same stages of the game without having pre-planned it about 5 minutes earlier, since overlords are too slow and their upgrades come at lair tech. That and the lack of an early anti-air unit other than the queen (tier 1.5 hydras would be nice: instead of pool-lair-den it could be pool-den, just like stalkers are gateway-cyber core).

Actually, it wouldn't be much of an issue if all the maps weren't so turtle-friendly, so i'll go ahead and say it's the maps that bug me. Every single map has easily defendable chokes and when there's a backdoor it usually involves spending quite some time destroying those rocks with a handful of your initial lings. Compare this to SC:BW, where along with the single-choke maps we also had some open ground maps.

I don't remember exactly but i think it was big game hunters, it had multiple chokes in each main and they were a good distance away from the mineral line. So, you could either defend your chokes and the rest of your plateau was empty and begging for a drop, or you could concentrate buildings and forces near your mineral lines but leave the chokes undefended.

So, it's the combination of map design and early game scouting difficulties for me. I'll go ahead and add cheesy play as number 2, like straight teching to void rays/cloaked banshees behind the safety of the aforementioned, easily blocked and highly defendable single choke point, or proxy builds. Reapers and proxy cannons i don't have much of a problem dealing with, but a proxy pylon 4-gate is beastly to hold off.

It seems like Zerg have been "dezergified" now that everyone can mass units so fast.

Being slaughtered by void rays. And only void rays. Banshees are powerful too but are counterable. So are pretty much every other unit in the game. But facing protoss requires me to build (if terrans) Vikings. Marines are supposed to counter void rays, but it just doesn't work. (They keep their charge too long.)

Having way more minerals than gas.

Building on the latter point, maps without easily defended natural expansions. I blocked off 5 of the 1v1 maps that had weakly guarded expansions, but had to leave one or two in the pool, and guess which ones kept coming up? Either those, or Blistering Sands. (Especially sad in the latter case; while I like Blistering Sands, I never got to see the newer maps in 1v1 quickmatches. It's like everyone else was banning those! Or maybe it was a bug.) Also I have to skip playing Metalopolis, which is certainly a beautiful-looking map As a result, my losses generally come from either an early rush, or being "starved" of resources due to being unable to expand.

Definitely Mutalisk harassments. Without having vikings as a Terran player it's pretty much impossible to keep up with muta's. Having a few missile turrets at your supply line helps but once the enemy gets more muta's those quickly become useless.

    Mutas ... >_>

My main problem in PvZ atm. I need to improve my macro and scouting, otherwise I just dont get enough defense to push away mutas that just kill too many probes to keep me in the game.

The second most annoying thing is Banshees... fucking strong units that are hard to counter when your obs is in the other's main seeing the starport and a banshee with cloak is in my main sniping pylons and probes... AAARRRRRRGH

Mutas can kill vikings in an ordinary fight. The terran player needs immense micro to counter the mutas where the zerg can just attackmove and then continue to macro

What I really dislike are hellions running into my base toasting my drones, they need to move slower in creep or something, Z cant wall of and slings have a hard time dealing with them (as in you have to make A LOT just to get it down and lose a lot of sling in the process).

Dude. 6 Photon Cannons (2 in mineral line, 2 at ramp/choke, 2 at tech structures) will nullify any muta or banshee harass for half the game. You'll need the forge anyway for your attack and shield upgrades so just get it earlier.

Problem is if I forge early, I am basically self-containing myself as zerg will just double expo and will have enough gas to get critical mass mutas sooner... I have to be aggressive vs a mutaling build because even matching expos and macroing equally hard does not pay off once he has 15+ mutas. Under 15 I can deal with.

For Banshees, I just have to remember to get more detection and blink earlier.
