ok just to further put things in perspective for people who say that the community is a "vocal minority" compared with the masses of facebook that will buy SC2.

There are 23,000 likes on the facebook "Join the Dominion" page.

Over 10,000 people voted in the 94% BNET disaproval thread on TL.

And 221,219 views on that thread.

Not everybody on facebook has seen it or hit like, not everybody on TL.net has hit like. Also, any time somebody looks at the thread at all it creates a "view", so if those 10,000 people looked at the thread at all 22 times, there is your 220k views. I mean seriously, its been like a week. The forums that are actively paying attention to the game will be the bulk of the first hit, then it gradually spreads. Check back a month from now.

Your missing the point. Or directly ignoring it. The point is that the community is not as much a "vocal minority" as other pretend it to be.

It very much is the vocal minority. Taking an advertisement that has been out a week, taking part of the data and then saying "LOOK! ITS TRUE!" does not make it true. How many people did not hit "like"? How many people dont care about that particular sort of thing? You know next to nothing about it and are making a huge sweeping claim about it.

Initial announcement of the game we see a spike to 150k unique visitors and since then a gradual rise to over 300k. This is unique visitors of people that have an interest in the game prior to its release and actually visit the site. There are many that wont visit the site. Evidence of that claim?

It peaked at 400k the day it was released and was WAY below that before and afterwards. Yet, look at how popular it is/was. The same can be done with pretty much any game. Not many people care to visit websites/forums for games when compared to the global numbers.

The only thing you have is the number of people that hit the like button after the advertisement has been out a week.

I love how it's called 'Interstellar Dance Fever' which is awesome, but just translates to 'sms alerts' .

And sadly, not even very good SMS alerts at that . Only the Scanner Sweep really sounds cool for an SMS alert, but I can't even use that because I'll freak out whenever I get an SMS while playing SC2 .

Reading the description of the new one, it seems like they want us to make some music with them.
