Oh, really? I only said Nintendo because I read that none of their employees have ever quit or something like that (on Kotaku). As for Facebook and Google, I saw a random news site that compared the 2 offices, they looked pretty nice.Actually I heard working for Nintendo and Facebook both suck.

Totally looks like Zeratul, after putting Razagal down, think we're in for a flashback like from when Kerrigan was captured by the Zerg?

That does look pretty epic. For a second I almost thought he was wearing the bones of dead Zerg on his face.Totally looks like Zeratul, after putting Razagal down, think we're in for a flashback like from when Kerrigan was captured by the Zerg?

Well, regardless of whether Hydra is D3 or a new game, we do know that Blizzard do in fact have a "next gen MMO" in the works.

I hate it when I just want to be nice by giving information in relation to a question and then someone makes me have to put more effort into it than I care to give. I was highly anticipating Diablo 3 and scoured the internet for quite some time and analyzed all of the rumors. I know very well of Project Hydra. I used that link as evidence because it was the first thing that popped up and I wanted it to be simple. The article says is that basically StarCraft 2 and Wrath Of The Lich King had all been announced but that there was still an unknown project about to be announced. This alone should make it pretty obvious that it was Diablo 3 given that Diablo 3 was announced a few months after this news item. During this time, there had been many hints leaked that Diablo 3 was in the making. Why would Blizzard start hyping a project when they're about to announce a highly anticipated sequel. They wouldn't. Besides, anyone who has played Diablo should immediately know what Project Hydra is just from the Hydra in the name. Sure, it could be something else but when most of the evidence points one way why bother worrying anymore about such a non-issue? Now that we've got the common sense context of my post out of the way that I wish you had picked up on from the beginning, I present to you:

Now, to answer your question: They gave the name of Project Hydra to Diablo 3 for a reason. Of course they're going to use it. That's what a project name is for. If it was just to mask a game's identity then they just wouldn't have one at all. For example, Square-Enix gives all of their Final Fantasy games a project name that is the official name of the project even though the commercial name of the game is known from the very moment the game is announced. Final Fantasy X, for instance, was always called Project X when they were talking about the game in terms of internal communication even though both the company and the public knew the game was going to be called Final Fantasy X.Yep, Diablo III is Hydra. So if your sole interest is Galaxy of Starcraft, move along now. Hydra is not the savior you've been waiting for. And as WoW Insider noted, Blizzard is working on three different projects at once. That's a lot on its plate. Now that Diablo III has been announced, we're not expecting any news about the Next-Gen MMO anytime soon.

Looks cool. They're one of the companies I'm looking to apply for in the future. Love quality fantasy art.
