I've read a lot about how the lack of chat channels in SC2 atm is a kick in the balls for the community, and how Blizzard don't really seem all that concerned, and while they have there own ideas that they wish to implement, we don't really know when they will get around to putting it in.
At this rate thou, it is reasonable to expect that there will be no chat channels or groups or whatever, come SC2 launch, or even up to several months after launch.
Given that chat channels or something like it is pretty damn critical for in game communication and social networking, should SC2 release without it, what does anyone intend to DO about it?
As someone who is not that beholden to the Starcraft franchise, I'm happy enough not to buy their fucking game.
Because A, I have a lot on my plate as is, so If I can for go another time sink, I'm better off.
B, I'm not that wealthy, and given how greedy Blizzard are, I'd rather not waste my money on them.
And C, I don't really care about the single player campaign, and so without in game communication, mutliplayer is dead in the water, so what's the point?
While I have some ideas to potentially remedy the situation, I first want to get you guys input on this.
If Starcraft 2 does indeed release without chat channels, or anything like it, without anything in the near future on the way, what do you intend to DO about it?
I look forward to seeing what you guys think about it.
