Thread: Auto-cast Unburrow

    Default Auto-cast Unburrow

Holy crap, I didn't know you could auto-cast unburrow until today! So if you burrow banelings and then right click unburrow. They will lie in wait and pop up when something walks over them. This is great for defending your mineral line from marine/marauder drops, protecting your chokes, or overall map control!

How did I not know this until beta ended!!

Amazing. Apparently ALL burrowable units have this ability!

-- Just tested this further in the Unit Tester, and found that by putting down pairs of banelings along the path to your "base", you can maximize enemy death more so than just throwing the same number of banelings right at the enemy.

Why did you have to figure this out AFTER the beta ended?

... Blizzard needs to display a unique icon (and allow a shortcut key) for auto-cast abilities.

I knew there was something up with that patch. I suspected some kind of easter egg.

Wow! sounds awesome! Now Zerg got the best invention after the spider mines:
Banelings which react like those but are actually better in the fact that you can reposition them!
and now I guess all the zerg units don't behave erratically when commanded to burrow and taking a hit while the burrowing animation was still in progress, that was annoying in SC1!
the best part is that autocast for burrow sounds like something that makes your life easier.

that being the only tradeoff. Is it 1 food or it keeps at zergling value: 0.5 since they're always twins and share it? anyways, it's cheap and that's what counts.

I deduced this to be the case. Since it would have been discovered had it existed before this patch.
