Didn't the StarCraft: Ghost intro cinematic have mutalisks chasing down the dropships? Dropships, being able to hold several Terran marines, are definitely much larger than wraiths. Though I don't exactly remember how big they were in comparison.

I always imagined the Mutalisk to be 2/3 the size of the one in that image...
Kind of like the size of an average sized 1 pilot fighter plane.

The mutalisk glave worm was like as big as one of the engines, I'm sure the engine is at least a meter wide.

I don't really think there's any set size for the mutalisks as of yet, as they're different sizes in all canon imagery.
Does anyone have any pictures from StarCraft Ghost multiplayer? It might be useful if we can find a pic of a mutalisk absorbing the health of an enemy unit.

Speed of Darkness had Mutalisks small enough to fit into the command bridge of a Terran Command Center. Which isn't exactly small, but not jumbo jet size.
Unless someone's willing to do some actual scaling with those pictures, accounting for variances like angle and distance, at best we can say that Mutas are larger than normal people.

Have you seen this page?
I wish Blizzard made something like that!
We don't have much information about unit sizes other than this:
SC1 Unit Stats:
Protoss
Terran
Zerg
Here, the only clue we can get is that Mutalisk's size is "S" which must be "small" while Wraith and Scout are "L" which must stand for "large"

Upon reflection I feel pretty sure that Zerg units come in rather variable sizes in real life, with their extremely mutable and fluid gene pool this seems to be pretty inevitable. I'd assume the biggest Mutalisk to possess a wingspan of around 20 metres and abdomen length of 15-18 metres or so*. Smallest ones probably have a wingspan of 5 metres.
*Basically as big as a large giant squid, with wings to match.
