What do you do against them as Zerg? A long range ground and a high range anti air?
Roach with burrow? But they can easily counter that with either scan, some marauders, or raven.
This unit composition is REALLY difficult to beat as zerg.

Mutas? Vikings won't get the +light bonus. I'm not sure, since I don't play Zerg, and I run Tank/Viking/Thor, and the Thors destroy Mutas.

Lings and Hydras.
keep your group tight. then rush the tanks with the lings, speed upgrade is nice. the tanks will be busy with the lings unless your opponents macro is godly, get a surround off on the tanks, and no matter what the vikings do ground or air, focus fire them with the hydras. and if your still having trouble. try burrowing a few banelings in clusters. then manually detonate them when the tanks are rolling over them, or mix them in with your lings. main point is lings(metabolic boost) and hydras w/ range upgrade.
theres probably holes in this as I am not the sharpest tool in the shed. but it would be my reaction.

Viking + Tanks is a bad combo, and extremely easy to counter as Zerg.
One unit is AtA, the other is GtG, these units don't synergize with each other. Unless you land the Vikings, in which case they support tanks a lot worse than Marines and Marauders.
You don't even need anything clever to beat this: simply go all air and mass pure Mutas, and tanks will all be useless; or go all ground and mass pure Zerglings (just don't fight at a choke point), and Vikings will be useless.

VVheat is right! Having naked tanks on the field is just nuts.
People refer to this combo but they forget to metion the other units in play. The infantry around the tanks is vital. In general, if you go only tanks+vikings - you're as good as dead.

Wel they usually have marauders or marines or thors...
really... terran mech is ridic... all you need is like 5 tanks, 2 thors, a bunch of vikings, and you're unstoppable
and as a zerg player its very difficult breaking into a terran base when they wall up and have even just one tank...

The alternative to breaking an enemy base is building more bases of your own. Both will result in you having more bases than your oponant, bringing you victory.

Infestors with fungal growth help enormously by freezing vikings while they get picked off. and NP on Thors = gg Terran![]()
