Remember that the Zerg are somewhat disadvantaged with production because A) Larva take time to respawn, and B) you lose a Drone every time you start a building.

Also, I'm pretty sure I saw David Kim's Probes with that 'Proton Charge glow' a few times.

It's probably an asymmetric skill thing. It's easier to keep Proton Charge active constantly than it is to keep Queens constantly spawning larva and using that extra larva on Drones.

Zerg macro has always been more complicated and less forgiving than other race's macro.

Also, imagine that every Queen death you saw was the death of half of a Hatchery's larva production. There were lots of Queen kills. That was a hell of a lot of damage to the economy of the Zerg.

didn't they make spawn larvae on auto-cast?

Doesn't anyone think that Zerg mind control is a bit over the top? It's pretty hard to balance when you can instantly turn ANY enemy unit to your side. It's going to be pretty annoying going into battle knowing that whatever the most powerful unit in your army is, it is going to get mind controlled.

Kill the infestor beforehand, or shut down the unit that they mind controlled in some way. (By running away or what have you.) It might end up not working on massive units, but as it is, ten seconds isn't really that overpowered for it's cost, and probably tech.

For a Tier 2 caster? A Tier 2 spell that needs to be comparable to Psi Storm and Hunter-Seeker Missile?

    Absolutely not.

Im pretty sure Zerg mind control is temporary. You can see the zerglings kill the collosi after the battle. So its on a more available caster than SC1 but it isnt as good, seems ok to me.

Psi storm would have massacred those packed zlings. The warp in time for Protoss is ridiculously fast. In my experience on ICCUP I find I often try to split up protoss army by assaulting multiple bases and the fact that he has to move all his units to defend one spot is one of the main reasons its actually ok to be a zerg player. With all this added P mobility it seems like zerg is the slow race anymore, you see blink totally mow down the roaches? What would you use to pick off that warp prism since theres no more scourge? I feel zerg air is the weakest now too... havent seen much action of it yet of course though.

I once microed a drone so well that my opponents computer exploded.
