Talking Movies Shot In Your Area! ( I Am Number Four )

Just a question for yinz, any of you ever have a film crew/movie shot in your area? Well that is, except for you who live in notorious places(San Fansico, New York, Vegas), cause that is expected. I'm wondering bout for us small/medium sized town folk.

Right now my entire town(Vandergrift,Pa) is in a giant buzz because we are the spot where a good portion of the movie is suppose to take place in. Mind you,we are calm "everybody knows everybody" town, and the last time this town had anything special was back in the 50's(- or so) when the steel mills here in PA were #1 in the world(we were THE biggest steel mill worker town, being that the mills were a 30min drive away to Pittsburgh.

The film is called "I Am Number 4" shot by Steven Spielberg & Matt Damon(some pretty big bigshots for a small down). The lead stars are Alex Pettyfer(character: John Smith) and his love interest Dianna Agron(character: idk, member from glee). The rest are suppose to be up-and-coming stars.

Today they filmed on the main street and such. I was just wondering if any of you other small towners have ever had such an interesting twist of events like this?

P.S. - Apparently I now live is Paradise, Ohio according to the new "Welcome To.." sign they put up. XD

Closest I get is StarWars episode V where the Hoth scenes were shot, but its like around 100 miles away in nomansland. And I kinda was not alive then... Althou I do believe thats the largest movie ever to be filmed in my country... so.
Other than that, there was a big fuzz around here in 1994 because of the Olympic games but I guess that does not count.
And near my previous home is aparently the Dharma initiative headquarters for you LOST fans out there. But no scenes were actually filmed there, they just used stock footage.

So... Mnope... pretty boring around these parts.

X-Men, the scene outside where Magneto confronts the cops is the outside of an old train station downtown here. A general store and school very close to my old neighborhood was featured in "Four Brothers". A film, "It's a Boy Girl Thing" filmed a few scenes in my secondary school, and in the film you can see the cafeteria and the gym. I auditioned to be an extra but was rejected. We don't get a lot of movies here, but they aren't uncommon.

The entire movie of the Truman Show (Jim Carey) was filmed in the small town of Seaside where I lived with my father as a child.

Yeah. I wish they had bloopers for Silent Hill. I walked in during the middle of a chase-like scene in my Cadet uniform at the worst moment possible.

Jaws was filmed at Martha's Vineyard MA, I don't live there but I visited where it was shot, and the movie Jumanji was shot in Keene, which is about 45 minutes from where I live. Also, Adam Sandler references NH quite a bit in his acting shinanigans, mostly through how he speaks. haha, also in Mr. Deeds they shit on NH a couple times, but its only 'cause they know it rocks house and just want to take us down a notch
