Mass Effect Universe Fan, I support Mass Effect 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for Game of the year award! ME2 still is being the best rated game this year! Keep it up

The only excuse to remove LAN imo is if the connection is ALWAYS good.

Currently it sucks. People are laggin' out left and right.

    But Blizzard "knows" this.

They can not please everyone with everything they want all the time. They favor the majority and they favor making things easier for everyone else. They do not have LAN (yet?) because there is not as much need for it now as there was in 1998 when the internet was slow and few people had it. Now nearly the whole world has fast internet everywhere it goes. I bet they also want to always have it online so that people have a harder time to hacking matches than they do on LAN, and so they can always keep an eye out for balance changes. It's not that they don't see a use for LAN, they just think that what they are doing is better for the game, its community, and themselves as well.

The Facebook thing just makes the game more appealing to a broader audience, as well as making it so that you do not have to add your friends one at a time. Just hit a button and your real life friends are on your friends list. The game is not just about one person or how they feel. Though Blizzard will listen to everyone, they will not change everything just cuz one person says so if everyone else does not agree. It is not just a "greedy corporation" that does this but every group as a whole does what is best for the group. If you feel slighted by Blizzard that is understandable, but you have to realize that the vast majority do not. They will pander to two groups, the majority and the pros of the e-sport scene. The rest of us need to just enjoy the great game that will come out soon. GL & HF everyone.
I realize that I change my signature often. All I can say to that is: SO??? HAI FIVE!! (*・∀・)/♡\(・∀・*)

I agree. If Blizzard is going to hold firm to NO LAN, then their servers must be 99.999% operational ALL THE TIME upon launch. We are still in beta...so I'm giving Blizz the benefit of the doubt. But come the 27th...all the bugs better be worked out. If not, then they need to push the launch to a later date.

Look spychi, I realize that I'm a sexy guy and that you enjoy finding out real life information about people on these forums so you can visit them and make out with guys in real life, but I'm going to have to go out on a limb and shoot you down right now. It's not gonna happen. Unfortunately, I'm attracted real women and I have standards.

Offending people and being vulgar in public is a rather relative thing. We also have rules and regulations on this forum and our mods enforce them so we can have a fun place to discuss the game. It's my personal opinion that you should stop comparing people on the internet to WW2 nazis. Even Germans wouldn't think your being clever right now.

Good luck in your journey of finding another like-minded male on these forums. Cheers.

lol lay off whatever you take
and making jokes from people is fun, i find it funny that I'm being reported for making pervert jokes and being straight...

we also don't have specific rules, my signature wasn't against them yet I was banned, next time you want to ban me make a rule for it, for example: we ban spychi - no exceptions
simple eh? if you guys want to stick with the rules fine as long as you have them somewhere ....if you don't have them it's just simple censorship and overmodding

    Confirmed no "semi lan"
    http://www.incgamers.com/News/22943/...n-starcraft-ii
    no cross realm play
    http://www.incgamers.com/News/22928/...ii-friendships

for any one curious why blizzard wont allow cross realm play, one word

    Microtransactions

It currently costs $20 to transfer realms in WOW. Certainly cheaper than buying another copy of the game dontchathink?

granted, that's not very far. (i blame old age and booze)

on topic: i look forward to some future Nick "Tastless" Plott casts, does anyone know for sure if he's still employed by them? i would assume he is...

Shawn "Day[9]" Plott is awesome too, especialy on analysis, but for a caster, im definitely missing tasteless, he's just overall better, more accurate and more funny than other casters i've heard lately.

I am an enthusiast of good strategy games, sc2Esports and rollplay, although i dont really play anything atm.
I work an internship at a government agency this fall, and have a good time at it.
I'm being more social, active and honest lately. in all forums.

Your "Blizzard is just doing what the majority want" arguement is wrong. Here ill show you. Raise your hand if you DONT want to be able to play custom games offline without BNET lag.

    *crickets chirp*

Your honor I rest my case.
