Thread: People not realising when they get outplayed

Just thought I'd add that it's not just games but society in general that is becoming like this.

I play paintball as well as other hobbies and a trend that's been getting steadily worse is just tormenting new players to the point they won't ever play again.

Respect is going down the toilet.

People not realising when they get outplayed
Would you realize it, Twilice, would i?

Sorry, too fun not to say it

On-topic: they guys were idiots, you cannot flame someone because you lost. If it's OP, or whatever, it's not the fault of the other guy. They should had gone to flame Blizzard in their forums, but don't expect to get anything by flaming people, that's not civilized behaviour. Anyways, if they didn't build units, that's their fault.

Silver league in division 1 is the same skill level as division 2407. All silvers are created equal. If you play a silver that is better than you, then that means that person could just have had a bad placement match set and got dumped there. Or done something weird like intentionally lose a few placements so they can try off the wall strats. *cough* Gifted *cough* So when the REAL game comes out you really will play against people near your skill level. And occasionally people above it too. Remember, you can not get better if you do not push yourself further against better people. I honestly do not think I could be in the current Platinum league if I did not start out in the Bronze a few months ago. I always believed I had the skill set (APM, swift thinking) to be where I am. But did not have the knowledge of timing, strategy, or counters that I do now. And it is not really if people know they are outplayed, it's if they know how to stop it from happening like that again.
I realize that I change my signature often. All I can say to that is: SO??? HAI FIVE!! (*・∀・)/♡\(・∀・*)

If you like anyone's post, be sure to give them additional rep.

I can't say I would. You can't really judge yourself. But I think I would, I got a lot of friends at the start just by being very polite and asking what I should do better. I remember alot of players told me that I could be a great sc2 player in the future. (meh, they are lost now stupid friend add ways)

Ah, but see, he used that at the very beginning of the game. Unless he didn't know he could make overlords, he probably thought the 6/11 at the top right hand corner was all he was allowed to have.

Edit: watched the replay. He spelt it at 'caped', so yeah, he didn't know how to play. Didn't use his queen's spawn larva to full capacity, despite having far more minerals (around 1500 near the end of the replay), he could've easily went to another route to win but stuck to 3-6 zerglings at a time attacks (note, he never made more zerglings until after his current ones were dead). Never made a roach cavern, or anything else. just a single spawning pool, a spine crawler, and an extractor.

And yep, we were losing. The opponents teched up, my ally didn't and wouldn't help me rush properly, and he starts blaming me and my poor microing. So, I left him and his ego to see if he could win on his own.

That to me is the worst situation. When even your own ally blasts you. If they want to play 2v2 at this point in the beta they have to accept a few noobish players and *shock* maybe offer some helpful advice instead of being a complete bag about the whole thing.

Oh, come on! It was a joke! You know what movie is that from, right?

About getting better, i think it's a matter of asking yourself why you losed a game after playing it, and how that could be prevented. It can be done by knowing what is the other playing doing at all times (or scout him with the best possible frequency), using all your resources (don't let them stockpile), know when you can/must expand, etc. It's easier to say than to do, however

I just hope that next time I am playing against this person instead of with him.

Hey, I bet you were the protoss player :P

And maybe it was a bit unfair to point out both as "flamers" since it was the zerg player who did it.

@Norfindel: Nono don't get me wrong I didn't get mad (didn't know it was from a movie :P) I just wanted to state that I am usually calm minded. Except when I am being flamed. I'm like a forrest, calm and steady adapting to the surroundings. Altough when I get "flamed" I burst out in twice as much flames

It's from Gladiator, right at the start of the movie
Well, it's pretty much normal behaviour to react like that. Nobody likes to be flamed, specially when you didn't do anything wrong. But hey! who knows how many years had that guy? Maybe it was just a dumb, immature kid.
