I've got to say that, so far, StarCraft Legacy is my favourite gaming community and is definitely the best StarCraft community I've been a part of.
I've had less problems here than I have anywhere else. Unlike the other sites I've been to, at least something is done about flaming and insults. A lot of forums I've been to don't do much if anything at all. And so far, I haven't encountered racism (towards an ethnicity as a whole and not just prejudice against blondes or redheads) so that's another point for SC:L. Although it remains to be seen what will happen if it did happen, how long it would take for a response (assuming I wasn't part of the staff) and the degree of the consequences for those type of actions. Battle.net is definitely the worst I've seen so far - so many trolls and flaming!
And I'm not just saying these things because I've been hear longer or because I'm a staff (I was treated the same when I wasn't a staff so much hasn't changed except for the role, the colour of my name and the user title).

With all my love for other games such as ME, Dead Space and MGS to name a few, there are only two game communities I visit, this one and another based on a grand strategy game(s) by Paradox (All hail the Swedes!) and I have to say that this is the site I stick to the most. I've learned not to touch say those blizz forums for example because just watching trade chat in WoW gave me the big hint to stay out of the forums.
