Thread: Zerg losing its alienness.

  1. #1

    Default Zerg losing its alienness.

    In starcraft 1, they had the lisks (Mutalisks, Hydralisks, and Ultralisks,) and zerglings, names that dont mean anything, every time they have added units, it has been a real name, what will happen to lisks.

    You're forgetting that SC1 had names like Guardian, Devourer, Drone, Lurker, Queen and Defiler.

    I also feel like Zerg names are called by humans. Meaning that their name is bound to what terrans thought they looked like. Not because it's the real scientific name or anything.

    It's "losing" not "loosing."

    Sorry, that one always bothers me.

    Another good point

    We don't know what the Zerg call their own units though.

    So then, should we have replaced usual names with
    Overlord - mutated Gargantis Proximae;
    Zergling - mutated Zz’gash dune runners;
    Mutalisk - mutated mantis screamers of Dinares sector;
    Ultralisk - mutated Brontolith;
    Hydralisk - mutated Slothien caterpillar;
    Drone - mutated Gashyrr wasp;
    Queen - mutated Arachnis Brood-Keeper?

    But I guess that would be a bit cumbrous.
