If Starcraft 2 is going to take any influence from the 'verse I hope they'd take it from Firefly.. *snivvel*

That link was frazzlewah. This is much nicer, again to prove Firefly couldn't pull it off...

Ahem.
I haven't seen Firefly yet (waiting for the scrolling archive on Hulu to return to Ep one before holding my breath and jumping in) but I have to take issue with this statement.
Go here, press ctrl+f, and type in Firefly. You will see a rebuttal to your statement. As for westerns being about 'strong men of few words', I seem to recall that Dances with Wolves was about a rather introspective war veteran...

Yeah, Deadlock not all shows are there to look at brainlessly and made without a little thought. Is the Western part of Firefly really too deep for you?
Science Fictions are usually BS, without realism. Even shows like Battlestar Galactica which were made to be believable and have realism are totally unrealistic. Firefly takes the cake....I'm way to tired to write this up but I hope you get my point. lol

I wouldn't say science fiction has to be realistic to be good. If it did, we probably wouldn't have come to these forums in the first place.![]()

True. Something that is good doesn't need to be realistic. However, something that is realistic (or at least managed to incorporate it) ought to be considered good.

i was referring more to the episode where they rustled cattle. i don't think it would ever be cheaper to carry cattle through space rather than try and raise them on another planet. and i seem to recall a stupid scene featuring a holographic window. that's just ridiculous, either you want a window to keep wind and dust out, in which case you need to install a sheet of glass, or you don't want a window in which case leave the gaping hole alone
yeah but i bet he didn't quip and jabber on like a joss whedon character
