Patch 13 is going live, B.net down, reset now?

Uh can anyone even download this new patch? My screen is stuck at the patch notes and


"PREPARING TO DOWNLOAD PATCH........"

No progress and I can still hit the PLAY Button which launches SC2...but I can't log in..due to obvious reasons.
Argh! I want my 4v4!

I took off from work and visiting my mother at the hospital because of false expectations that the patch would go up. A general ETA would be nice

Oh man.. I cant wait.. 4 players pumping out MARAUDERS... basically a unit that can be bought within the first minute of the game, that totally owns every ground unit in the game INCLUDING new ultralisks (even easier now, since ultras are 450 hp, they died fast at 600 hp before!)..

Im almost positive 4v4 is going to be 4 terrans just going pure marauder rushes, maybe afew thors to stop every air unit in the game. Its going to be so lame.

Dont think i'll play anything more than 3v3, even that I doubt i'll play other than with 1 team, just cause we played a lot in war3 3v3, so playing for nostalgia sake.

It's not like 4v4 has ever had the slightest potential for competitive play.
The 1v1 copper ranks will probably have longer search times though.

I think you'll all find very quickly that 4v4 is very different when you know everyone on your team, and you have unit control/resource sharing.

But you can't trade resources the first 3 min right?

Sure, but that's not what I'm getting at. I think the reason so many people hate 4v4 is because they get rushed, and there's nothing they can do about it. Their teammates just watch and might even ignore you.

The way that things are set up now that's not as big of an issue. First of all you know your teammates. So when that rush happens they'll help you out. Now you can have a fast paced and extremely dynamic match. Of course someone is always going to end up being taken out first. That doesn't have to be a huge issue though. You can send your resources to your teammates and take control of their units while they macro. This way everyone gets to continue playing until the match is over.

One of the things that annoys me is that when you share control you can't build buildings or make units But one of the things is that with rushing you might take out 2 ppl but then the next 2 teammates are going to definitely have some sort of counter if they're any kind of good player.

I can't download the patch either. It just says "Preparing to download..." and never moves. The play button is lit up though and I can click it and go into the game.
