Very much agree, and would like to add that Ultras don't need to do more damage, they need to be available cheaper, earlier and without hit points being nerfed. Also possibly made smaller. They aren't damage dealers they are tanks. The bonus vs armored is fine, but it won't make them counter marauders at all they'll still get mashed before they get to them.
I do like the new overseer.

Okay. I know Blizzard don't like nasty words, and some fans don't. But if these changes are based on Korean gamers, maybe, okay, MAYBE, they freakin suck using other races than zerg.
Jeez.

Metagame refers to how the gameplay evolves as players learn how to use the units, mechanics, and user interface more effectively. As players find or create new tricks and learn to exploit them, the power and balance shifts. For example, In SC1 Terran used to build up an excess of gas over the game, but then Flash starting using it for upgrades that made him unstoppable. And now those upgrades are standard play and the balance of the game shifted.

I'm itching, no, make that raging to know what dustin is looking at when making these changes. What builds does he have on his desk, rushes, econ managements, etc, etc. Shifts, etc etc.
I don't believe he looks at 200 replays a day to get a feel of what's happening, and why.
Good luck to blizzard listening to these Korean pros.

I don't know if this was brought up.
But I was on goatrope's stream at teamliquid.
one of those guys brought up a really good point.
The overseer has major imbalance.
It's a 0 supply unit that's battle capable.
You could easily break 200 supply by spamming overseers.
I wonder if they'll fix it before the patch goes live.

They are all statistics fed by Battle.net. They don't study 200+ replays per day but Battle.net feeds them how often a certain build used or how often a unit is used in what matchups. They see the proportion of what get used, gets abused or not used at all and they make shifts not just for balance, but also to encourage, discourage certain play styles.
Decepticons, transform and rise up!
