Dead Man Crawling

We don't have a writer's thread yet, so I'll post this here.

This is a short story I wrote a while back for a contest held by Vile Gaming. Prize was a beta key. I didn't win, but no biggy as I eventually got one from the awesome SCL crew and members.

Anyway, this story takes place on an unnamed colony world in the Koprulu sector during Kerrigan's most recent rampage across the system.

I kind of like to think that the Horror is a direct result of Kerrgian's influence on the Swarm.

Originally, I was just going to use a heavily mutated Ultralisk...but that just wouldn't have been quite as creative, nor as beneficial to the story.

Though I should mention that the format kind of hindered my immersion. Those very short paragraphs segmented the read a bit too much for me... but then again I barely ever read fiction so maybe fic-fans like it that way, dunno.
