Now that's just grasping for straw, but I guess I shouldn't expect differently from you. What? Rebuttal? What? I don't know what you're saying. Probably not going to read what your going to reply with. Tsk tsk, such straw graspers.

Aaanyhow, it was based on NASA utilitarian design. That's my story, and besides, that has nothing to do with Ridley Scott's influence of Star Wars. We also can't say Cobb lived only to design Star Wars. He also did Conan the Barbarian, but I hardly would think anyone would say that's defined by his background in Star Wars. He's a concept artist foremost, and as a professional, I'm sure he has a lot more tricks up his sleeves than falling back on one of his former projects.

Wtf? I was just stating a fact. I'm not rebutting anything.

Movies are for entertainment. Due to this I really enjoyed the film.

I didn't enjoy it at all. It was a painful two and a half hours of repeated tripe.

I didn't bother to see it at first because I hate when the creator of a movie tells you that it's epic. That's not for him to decide so I wasn't going to pay for it. In the end people stared at me mouths agape when I told them I hadn't seen it. A friend finally got so sick of me reveling in the shock it caused that he took me to the imax 3d and bought me some gourmet licorice from Trader Joe's to top it off.

    My feelings were as follows.

    Story: Predictable and trite.
    Acting: Middle of the road.
Visuals: Best 3d I've seen. It wasn't just a few things popping out at you, insects, dust motes, it gave a real feeling of depth, not just corny spots where stuff popped out at you.
Music: Good, but not overly memorable.

All in all it was mildly entertaining but not worth the price of admission. Fortunately for us the film lost part of it's picture about 45 minutes in for around 10 minutes. I decided to complain and they gave the 4 of us there 4 more free movie tickets. So not only did I not pay in the first place I got another movie on top of it!
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.

Watched it first in 2D then in 3D.

Graphics were great. The Navi looked very realistic in appearance and expression.

Story was boring and predictable. We knew who was gonna die and who was gonna live.

    Overall, a so-so movie.

Really? I didn't see any part of the story that lead me to believe Tsu tey was going to die, or Grace too.

But one thing I did like about the movie was the main antagonist with the 3 scars. He's pretty badass.

Everyone has to consider this was basically just an intro into this whole world. They are making at least two additional movies. I would figure the stories will be far more unique.

I doubt it, I wouldn't be surprised if it amounted to Titanic in space.
